Salmon Fishing Vacation

I willing to be gone from Sunday 9/21 until Saturday 9/27 for salmon fishing vacation with my father and his buddies at Ludington State Park. This is my third year salmon fishing trip. So I'll bring sketchbook with me to do most pencil drawing during break in the afternoon. Here is a picture from last year fishing trip.

Added new stickers

About couple weeks ago I purchased stickers Transformers and Thundercats from eBay. I put them on my portable 19"x19" drawing board. I'll looks some more down road like Superman "S" symbol and other cool stickers. Here are couple pictures...

Art Unleashed Draw-Off Weekend Contest

Art Unleashed Draw-Off Weekend Contest #3 "70s TV Cartoon Character." I speed drawing of Underdog in twenty minutes. I use regular size of copy paper with non-photo blue lead pencil, sharpie and col-erase pencils. Not so bad for twenty minutes speed drawing.

Inked Angel

Sharpie pen is a spanky brand new tool to me. I brought a set of them about couple weeks ago and played around before inking very first time on copy of original pencil artwork by Neil Cheniner. Take about three days on/off since Wednesday.

Here is a original pencil drawing of angel by Neil Chenier. I saved it into my jumpdrive back in March or April I think and have it all this time until few days ago. So I printed on the copy paper before begins ink it.

Here is a inked of angel I did. So I posted in many art community forums I knows and now waiting for critical from professional. I'm pretty satsifed what I did and not so bad for very first time inking. I still learning and practices of inking....

The Complete Art of Comic Book Inking "2nd Edition"

I'm really glad find and purchased this book. Its very a pracitical guide to who wants to be professional inker for comic book or graphic novel. There are a lot of unqiue techniques, type style of inking by many different inkers and what tool they ues.

I'm going to starts practice inking soon as I done read the book. I going to try inking over someone pencil drawing I downloading from forum I goes to. Keeping practice until I ran out of ink, lol. Probably in couple weeks, I going to try post inked drawings here what I learns from the book.

Ryan Claytor, creater of Elephant Eater

On August 27th of 2008, I went to my local comic shop Clem's Collectibles. I gets chance to meet Ryan Claytor who he is creater of Elephant Eater and comic artist. It was totally awesome meeting him, he signed my book and draw cartoon of himself on entire page my autography sketchbook. Here are couple pictures and video he recorded from Clem's Collectibles.
